Wonderful Place for all the Family

Tivoli World theme park is located in Arroyo de la Miel which is part of Benalmádena on the Costa del Sol. The park is designed for adults as well as children and has wonderful gardens, fountains and walkways. This park is one of the oldest established on the coast.

Entry to the park is just 6€ (06/03). For this fee you have access to the gardens, numerous bars and restaurants and several free shows. If you wish to take the rides, you buy a ticket. The 'Supertivolino' gives you unlimited access to more than 30 rides or you can purchase any amount of single tickets. Some rides have age and height restrictions for safety reasons.

In the Andalucia Square you can experience the colour and sounds of flamenco with several different shows each night. The shows are free and there is a genuine Andalucian bar/restaurant to be enjoyed.

In the Western Square you will find an authentic reproduction of a western town where western and comedy shows are staged. The shows are free.

By train: The train station of Arroyo de la Miel is a two minute walk from the theme park

By taxi: Simply ask for Tivoli World, Arroyo de la Miel
By car: The theme park has ample parking on site, cost 1€

Sea Life Center
Benalmádena

One of the attractions that has to be visited in Benalmádena, is the Sea Life Centre which is located next to the marina. One of the first attractions on the agenda as you enter is the tank containing the stingrays. One of the startling things about this display is the closeness of the fish. It is also possible to obtain food which the fish will take from your fingers. As you wander round at a leisurely pace you come across various displays, all of which are accessible and of great interest, especially with the children. The laboratory marina is next with starfish, hermit crabs and many other strange creatures. There are members of staff available to allow closer examination.

Sea Life & Education

As well as the common species of fish, to which we are all familiar, there are some very strange characters, some of which are quite rare. One of the most moving displays is the glass tunnel where you see sharks and stingrays swimming above you. You can feel the fish all around you.

A great deal of thought has gone into the layout of the centre and the emphasis isalways on the young ones. One of the areas they will enjoy is the 'songs of the sea' which is a room in which they have to match various sound clips with pictures of sea creatures. The tour finishes in a well stocked shop, a cafe and restaurant that has a large, safe play zone for the youngsters to keep them busy whilst the parents relax. For the adventurous there is an underwater simulator.

A Sea Life Resident

Sea Life play a very active role in conservation and are undertaking a great deal of work behind the scenes. They have their own breeding programme for a wide range of species, some of which are released into the sea in order to secure their future.

The Wonderful "dolphinarium"

Welcome to Selwo Marina, a new concept of marine exploration including all aspects of sea life, the likes of which have not been seen before, also on offer are the majestic bird life of South America. In the new centre of Selwo Marina you can enjoy the "dolphinarium", the first in Andalucia, and marvel at the pure intelligence of the dolphins. Selwo Marina also boasts the only Penguin house in Andalucia, an area that accurately reproduces the natural habitat where different species of the loveable penguins live.

Everyones Favourite

The park is designed with a specific route at its centre. As you make your way along this route you will be taken through each and every corner of the Selwo Marina. However this is not a fixed route by any means, as you as the visitor can make any detours along the way that you may choose to. You may choose to take a path following the course of warm Caribbean waters where the dolphins play in the sun. Alternatively take the Amazonian route, and visit the exotic birds that inhabit that part of the world, including the flora and fauna of the jungle climate. Not forgetting the frozen landscapes of the South Pole home to one of the most loved creatures on the planet, the penguin.

A play area is available for our young visitors, including swings and slides, and a varied cavalcade of other activities in juniors own little jungle to keep them entertained.

Selwo also offers several different ranges of food for consumption, whether it be a light refreshment, a hamburger or something a little more substantial from their restaurant with some very appetizing fair.
